    Where to stay in Namibia

    Campsites in Katima Mulilo
    Ngepi Camp
Camping is absolutely lovely along the Okavango River on the boundary of Namibia. From backpacker vibe, nights at the bar are great after a day of swallowing dust. Only one catch, access is somewhat complicated, but worth it. I advise you to dig out their website. The dip in the "pool-cage" .. Great, especially in our case, we got by without water for three days.... surrounded by coconuts and hippoes .. Anyway ... It has its charm.
    Campsites in Sossusvlei
    Sesriem Campsite
Just past the gates of the Namib-Naukluft national Park is the Sossuvlei campsite. It's pretty big, and has a swimming pool (open in summer only), individual taps and some bathroom booths with hot water. If there is no room for this task, they often make a hole between the bathrooms and the pool. They also have individual barbecues available. The park gates open at 5:00 and I recommend you get up early because a queue forms. ;)
    Hotels in Rehoboth
    Lake Oanob Resort
This complex, located in Rohobot about 100km from Windhoek, is essentially a great place to spend the weekend with family or friends. There are many water activities and a "port" where some leave their boats. The atmosphere is very family friendly and festive. During the weekend, most of the camping places are taken but if you want to spend the night there many of the guests vacate after 6pm, so if you wait you may get lucky.
    Hotels in Swakopmund
    Desert Sky Backpackers Lodge hotel
In Swako we were in a detached house with rooms and garden for campers . The Women who run it are nice, always trying to give advice on what activities to do if you are spending a few days there, the best places to go for dinner, etc.. It will make the reservation for you in any adventure offers has your name. It has an external laundry service that picks up clothing at 18 and I delivered the next day, a kitchen (fully equipped with a refrigerator to let your stuff) and a bathroom with hot water very clean and functional. Do not expect stunning views in the middle of nature, but it's a place to leave the car a few days and walk around the city, as the center is less than two minutes. It also has 24 hour security. We kayaked in Walvis Bay where there is a seal colony with Craig, okay, you get close, they swim with you, approach and it's fun, but the price is too high (50 €)
    Hotels in Windhoek
    Safari Court hotel
In the capital of Namibia we stayed at the Safari Court, next to the Eros Airport, but you don't the planes, as the busy international airport is further away. The hotel is little old, but rooms are fine, clean, buffet services are good, the pool area is very cool and most of the staff very friendly and competent. They have a van service that takes you every hour with stops in Maerua mall to the City Center and back to the hotel. The only downside is that the Internet connect is a bit uncertain.
    Youth Hostels in Windhoek
    Chameleon Backpackers
A great choice in Namibia's capital. It looks small, but has more than may seem at first. They are a couple of houses, with the terrain well used. It has a variety of bedrooms, from multiple shared, to authentic suites. Bar, large kitchen, cafe with wifi, swimming pool, tour operators, large TV area. The continental breakfast is included in the price. And tea and coffee is available all day, for free consumption. Bed in a Dormitory, 90 Namibian Dollars (about 7 €). Single room with shared bath, 100 DN (about 8 €). Double room with private bathroom DN 230 (19 €). There's a small camping area. It is very clean with nice treatment. Central location and close enough to areas of interest, supermarket and shopping centers. Organize some trips around the country and make up the reservation and bus ticket purchase. Sorry, I must return.
