It is one of those hotels where you feel really bad the morning you have to pack up and leave. It’s comfortable, centric and all the details are carefully taken care of. The prices are great in low season, and compared to other hotels in Vitoria and Alva, in general it’s very good priced.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, perfect to enjoy the views of the illuminated María Inmaculada Cathedral.
The breakfast is an NH classic, of great quality and variety. So if you have to go to Vitoria for business or if you are looking to get away and relax and get to know the city, this is a great choice of hotel.
In our last trip around Spain, my husband, smallest daughter and I went to Vitoria to the Hostal la Casa de los Arquillos. When we got there we saw that there was no elevator, but Mrs. Rezzu was so charming that we didn’t hesitate to leave our things in the entrance and go up to the reception on the first floor and then to see our room in the second floor.
My daughter and I fell in love with the place, but my husband complained that there was no elevator and that he didn’t want to carry our things, saying we women always carry too much stuff. We didn’t care and managed to carry our bags up to our room. It was worth the effort. It was a magical place, like being in the Middle Ages. From the skylight in the roof we could see the church’s dome with its clock and we could hear the church bells every hour. It was wonderful, I want to go back.
Today we laughed with the anecdotes and my husband’s complaints, and he laughs at our stubbornness, but my daughter and I haven’t forgotten how wonderful it was to be there.
The place has the magic of medieval times but with the comforts of the 21st Century, except for the elevator. Since this place is historical heritage, its structure can’t be altered. It has to stay like this, faithful to its representation of the Middle Ages.
It is a very comfortable hotel in Vitoria. It is comfortable, centric and with good quality services. Also it is not too expensive. It is a modern establishment that was reformed not long ago and located in one of the main avenues of the city. It’s next door to the Palacio de Exposiciones, less than 5 minutes away from the old downtown and 8 kilometers from the airport and 1 kilometer from the station.
It has 107 rooms and nine floors, some of them with terraces and great views of the city. The bedrooms are spacious and complete with a dressing room; the bathroom is also complete and spacious (shower, blow dryer, amenities…); the room has a living room and free minibar (water, sodas, and juices). It has a flat screen TV and safety box. It is very modern, new, clean and comfortable.
It also has the typical services such as laundry, 24 hour room service, cafeteria, restaurant, fitness center, conventions centers, and wifi in all the building…
The buffet is quite complete and the cafeteria has a variety of dishes, even though it’s a bit expensive. A mixed sandwich with salad is 10 Euros.
A normal bedroom without breakfast is about 60 Euros. The service is exceptional, the receptionists and waiters are charming and everything is perfectly clean.
It is a good choice for business or pleasure. Moreover it is very close to restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
We have already been 2 times to this hotel and it is the only 5 star hotel in the province of Araba. It offers packages based on and although it is a bit far from downtown, as we go by bike we chose it. It is not worth taking the car to the port as it is a quiet and there is parking. The breakfast is adequate and they also have a spa and although the girl there is very attentive, I think the building maintenance should watch a little better. It's a different way to spend a weekend in a city and it is very European. I advise to take bikes.
Jardines de Uleta Suites Hotel is very comfortable, with spacious suites of 60 m2, with a living room completely separated from the bedroom. The facilities include a coffee maker, besides an extensive menu of sandwiches, tapas, plates for sharing, etc. It has been recommended by the Michelin Guide since the year it opened. The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the city, just 10 minutes walk from the downtown area. In the same area is the Basilica of Armentia, a Romanesque church worth visiting.
It is a fantastic hotel 20 minutes from the old downtown of Vitoria. It has standard rooms and the junior suites, which have a living room and kitchen.
The hotel service is very good and attentive. We asked for a crib and they gave us a typical travel crib with a basic mat so we asked for a mattress and they bought one for us.
It is well located since the highway is very close. Next door is the Boulevar mall with all kinds of stores and the Eroski gas station.
To go downtown you can take bus number 3, which stops every 15 minutes, or you can go walking. If you go by car, it is usually difficult to find a parking space.
When we booked the room the price was 70€/night, but since we booked in advance we got a 15% discount and free parking.
Its location is perfect - just 5 minutes from the old town. It is a nice hotel, the rooms are comfortable, a tad small compared to the size of the bed, the perfect bathroom with necessary amenities. The detail of the interior garden is beautiful. Staff are attentive. In short, a perfect hotel to visit Vitoria with excellent value for money.
Our experience in these apartments has not been positive. The smell of snuff in the room was unbearable. The bed slats were broken. We found a dirty pot in the cabinet, broken glass on the floor, and a plastic cup on the kitchen floor. There were no glasses. The bathroom ceiling was in dire need of a fresh coat of paint ... I couldn't say if it was supposed to be white or black. It was impossible to sleep with the noise of the rain. On the bright side, it is next to a tram stop, you can easily park for free in the area, the apartment has a lot of light, and the staff were very helpful.

The nicest spot we've ever been to and it is a few km from Vitoria. It is a Basque house with a lot of details. For starters it is almost within the Natural Park of Maturana, so it is ideal to go out and take a walk, relax, enjoy the weather and indeed, in this corner time seems to stop. We arrived and with over 1000km travelled and we were suddenly full of vitality. The beds, a feather one! I recommended this hotel to all the people I've seen and I've told along my journey. Truly I recommend it if you're going to be near Vitoria and are looking for something special and not too expensive! This is your place. Pd: The couches they have in the comfortable lounge are very comfortable and the owner makes you feel at home! I think I even walked through the site in pajamas. Also I must say that the breakfast was amazing, a buffet with local produce, delicious fresh juice, tortillas made us want to repeat!
Irenaz Apartments can be found in the neighborhood of Lakua. The centre of Vitoria is easily reached, as there's a tram stop just 100m from the entrance. The apartments are between 40 and 60m2, and have capacity for 1, 2, or 4 people. They have been decorated by the renowned interior designer Almudena de Villar, and have either one or two bedrooms. All are equipped with all the services and amenities of a hotel. They have a bathroom, lounge and fully-equipped kitchen. Towels and sheets are changed weekly. You can stay here for a long or short duration, alone or in a family. Cots and highchairs are available on request.
This fairly new hotel has good facilities, and the rooms are correct for what is expected from the hotel. A bed, a bath and a little more. It would not be an option for more than one or two nights. Firstly because it is far from all, you have to take the car absolutely for everything. But secondly because these hotels do not offer much more than a place to sleep, so for me, a long time would be boring. Yes, the price is right for what they offer, being a cheap and suitable place for when you're on the road. The breakfast was good, it was stocked and had croissants, but the setting was pretty small, so there were lines and hassles. Like I said, it is a hotel for when you are on the road, so there is quite a breakfast rush hour, where there isn't much place to sit.
This restaurant is located in a sixteenth century mansion, which has been restored by new owners. Here you'll find a resort with twenty rooms and a comfortable dining room, where you can try different Basque dishes. Their specialties include pig trotter salad, with sauteed shrimp and chickpeas, and wild turbot roasted with garlic and lemon.
