I spent a weekend with my girlfriend at this magnificent and intimate hotel in the center of Mérida. We had an amazing time enjoying the nearby historic area of the city.
We also reserved a private spa treatment for two and they gave us a free bottle of champagne. The staff is friendly and professional.
I’d really recommend it for a romantic getaway.
I was lucky enough to stay in this marvelous Parador. I’d like to especially highlight the food served at the restaurant. The Iberian cold meats plate was delicious! The wait-staff are also very helpful and paid attention to the details.
The decor is traditional and the rooms were very large and well-furnished. It’s located in the center of Mérida and has a parking lot, something you shouldn’t take for granted. The service of the staff was excellent and the Parador is really worth a visit.
It’s definitely the best place to stay in Mérida.
Right in the heart of Merida, in the former Meliá Mérida, which didn't survive the chain's crisis and was one of the locations that had to drop the old name, is this cozy and elegant hotel. The neighboring buildings are the Town Hall and the Church of Santa Maria. It's only 5 minutes away from the Museum of Roman Art, and it's just steps away from the Roman bridge. Also, the front has kiosks, cafes and bars where you can get some beers and tapas. Having the best atmosphere in Merida must be a difficult task.
I would recommend this small hotel to all travelers who are going to be passing through Merida. It's located just 50 meters away from the Temple of Diana and 5 minutes away from the Roman Theatre, which makes this the ideal choice for tourists. There's spacious and fine design with clay works in the decoration and furniture made by craftsman Rafael Ortega. It also has a courtyard where you can rest. Double rooms go for 50 €/night and there's free parking. What more could you want?
The Hostal la Flor Al-Andalus is in a great area, it's very pleasant and very nice. It's worth it to book this hostel for the value because all of the must-see places are close by, the only "but" is that there's no elevator for those who may need it.
The Velada Merida Hotel can be found right in the historical center of Merida, surrounded by ancient Roman ruins. It's 300 meters away from the Roman Amphitheatre and the National Museum of Roman Art. This hotel was restored in 2005 and it has 6 floors and 92 rooms, 4 suites and 3 rooms for guests with reduced-mobility. Among its 24-hour reception service, the hotel also offers its guests a safe, restaurant, cafe and bar. The restaurant offers typical Spanish food. They also have room service, free parking and free WIFI in the hotel.
The Tryp Merea Hotel is a 4-star hotel that invites its guests to relax in their comfortable chairs and enjoy a peaceful, relaxing stay. The property is located near the old roman bridge and just 20 minutes walk from the city center.
The Nova Roma Hotel isn't very new, but it's well-maintained with very spacious and well equipped rooms (even the bathrooms). The rooms here will run you around 68€ per night. There's parking elsewhere, but here they'll charge you €100. We were very satisfied. They also have food with a set menu for 11 €, which isn't bad for what they offer. If you're not interested in eating here there are other options nearby.
The Las Lomas Hotel can be found in Merida, in the province of Badajoz, in Extremadura, Spain. The hotel offers its guests a total of 136 rooms. All of its rooms are equipped with a full bathroom and A/C, heat, satellite TV, and a safe. The hotel offers many services including an outdoor pool, solarium, bar, restaurant, laundry service, meeting rooms, breakfast room, and Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. From the hotel, it's just a few minutes walk to the Roman Circus. Also nearby is the San Lázaro Aqueduct. It's 20 kilometers away from the Cornalvo nature reserve.
Romero Hotel is a recently built 3-star hotel, situated on one side of the A-66, just 4 miles away from Merida. The facilities are brand new, and this is reflected in the rooms, which are very large, modern and functional, but the quality is not the best. The bed is very comfortable and the parquet floor. The bathroom is fully equipped and is also very large and modern. It offers all the facilities necessary to have a comfortable stay. As for the wifi, they offer two networks to connect with the password on the remote control, but none of them worked, and although I asked at reception, nothing was fixed. Next to the hotel there is a service area which offers breakfast and lunch 24 hours a day. It has a ticketing system , which makes it quite slow in taking your order. In short, a transient hotel, very large, but has a few minor flaws that could easily be fixed to become a pretty good hotel.
The Vettonia Hotel is very clean, and has new furniture and a nice staff. It's next to Plaza de Toros, about 5 minutes away from the theater and the Roman amphitheater. Everything is very close by and you can easily visit the city by taking a short walk from the hotel. It wasn't hard to find. There's easy parking in the area. I'm very satisfied with the choice of hotel.
