    Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao
This hotel has become Bilbao’s best and not only for the number of stars it has. The Silken chain really worked on this building, that expresses the most modern and contemporary elements, with unique details that make it really special. The entrance to the atrium is a wonderful feeling. It opens like a great free space and it is dominated by a great sculpture of Mariscal: a Fossil Cypress made of stone that ascends to 26 meters from the ground to the skylight in the terrace. This is how the place manages to bring in natural light in the atrium space. The interior of the bedrooms also shows an exquisite design. Each room has a personalized style that makes them different from each other, besides the comforts offered by a hotel of this class. I had the opportunity to visit the hotel for a family wedding and it was incredible: the food is exquisite and you can have an appetizer and drink in the terrace with wonderful views to the Guggenheim!

    Sercotel Hotel Gran Bilbao
The hotel is just five minutes from the old town and well connected, although I think that it's a little on the edge, because it's worth its 4 stars as it shows the great quality they offer in their services. The rooms have WIFI, air-con, minibar, phone, safe, spacious bathrooms with bath tubs or columns and are also bright, furnished in a modern style and decorated in warm colors. The hotel has an auditorium!

    URH Palacio de Oriol hotel
It is worth going to the center of Santurtzi to enjoy the beautiful views of the Abra Bay, especially from the Palacio de Oriol, an elegant and famous building that evokes an era where the Bay of Biscay became an exclusive summer place for rich and bourgeois families. Today all of us mortals can go and enjoy these places. Today, the beautiful building from the end of the 19th Century is a modern NH hotel. If you are not staying there, don’t worry, because you can enjoy its beauty from the bar or restaurant, walking around it admiring its excellent viewpoint. I left the car in the lower part, near the port and I felt like going up the steep slopes to reach this place where, besides the palace, there are various impressive buildings, gardens and parks that make they walk more enjoyable, with great views of the ria and the Biscay Bridge. In the palace’s garden, there is a stand with tourist information as well as the San Juan de Dios Hospital. It is a beautiful walk with magnificent views!

    Palacio Urgoiti hotel
In privileged surroundings, in the middle of nature and very closet o Bilbao, you will find this hotel. It is a place with an intense and accidental history, passionately narrated to us by Vicky Urretxa. If you have the chance ask her to tell you the story, you will be surprised by her knowledge. She is an amazing person. The hotel counts with all kinds of commodities for the demanding traveler. It has spacious rooms, a pool, good service, nice details and a Picht & Putt golf course, to name a few characteristics. The rooms are all different, luminous and cozy. Even the standard rooms are above average. An element to highlight: the gastronomy. It is hard to please a group of travel bloggers like us, but the brunch they offered us was exceptional.

    Barceló Bilbao Nervión hotel
We booked into this hotel nearly a month ago, and liked it. There were several good things: the room was spacious, with good views. Breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. There were plenty of options, and someone was always on hand to replenish the food. The location was good, on the main road, and close to most sites of interest. However, there were some strange things for a hotel of this size, for example bad wifi in the rooms. We were willing to pay but the signal quality was terrible. Maybe we were just unlucky. Also, the service was a bit lacking sometimes - they didn't know when our room would be ready, but they were happy to let us store our bags while went for a walk.

Relais du Silence Hotel & Spa Etxegana
We arrived to the Etxegana Hotel and the first thing that surprised us was the majesty of the building. The brick and wood warmly welcomed us, together with the kind staff. Once inside the building we were seduced by the details: the carved wood that reminded us of faraway lands captured our attention, just like when you land in a foreign country and you can’t stop looking everywhere with open eyes. We left our things in the room, which are spacious and luminous, and we went to different places of the area. We came back for dinner, which was more like a tasting of pleasures, with local and foreign influences. The restaurant is spectacular. If you come here you mustn’t miss it, and don’t forget to pay attention to all the details. The calm night gave us the chance to rest. The peak was the breakfast we ate the following morning (accompanied with juice, fruit, bread and coffee) next to the balcony that offered us great views. You can also enjoy the views from outside if the day is nice. It’s really impressive. Our stay was a magical one, without a doubt, in a privileged location. I definitely hope to go back there.

    Silken Indautxu hotel
Whenever I go to Bilbao for work, I stay at the Hotel Ibis Bilbao, which has a good location and a metro station near the hotel. On Sundays, I usual opt to dine in the hotel, at the Etxaniz restaurant, and it never disappoints. The menus aren't bad value (there is one for 19 € and one for 24 €) and the food is pretty good quality. Moreover, it changes with the seasons. Last time, I had grilled young asparagus with cheese, followed by monkfish over rice with mushrooms. For dessert, ice cream. All stunning. As it was Mother's Day, they offered some chocolate hearts. I recommend it, especially if you want a quiet, comfortable, Sunday dinner, when many restaurants are closed.

Mercure Bilbao Jardines De Albia hotel
A great, central hotel. If you stay in it, you'll have no need for the car. It's a 5 minute walk from the Guggenheim. 2 minutes from Ledesma Street, where there are plenty of tapas bars and Abando Metro Station, which takes all over. It is 15 minutes from the Museum of Fine Arts. It is perfect for sightseeing.

    Suitebilbao hotel
The super nice apartment had everything. There were four of us and it was ended up pretty cheap at 23 euros a day. It was next to the metro and Bilbao's Old Town pintxos made you want to stay and live there. The girl who brought our food was very nice and explained everything we wanted to know about Bilbao. The apartment also has info of Bilbao free wifi was very useful to us. An easy place to recommend.

    Hotel Bilbi
I loved the Bilbi Hotel. A friend of mine recommended it to me and I’m glad she did. It is a simple and well located hotel. It is close to everything (you can walk to almost anywhere from there). I had read that the neighborhood was not the best, but we had no problems. In every city there is a tricky neighborhood, but if you’re careful there is no problem. The hotel is reformed and it’s fantastic. The bathroom is new (the most important thing for me!) and the room has a nice decoration, simple but modern. It has a nice wallpaper and a silver headboard that I really liked. The beds are comfortable (I guess they’re also new). The room is very clean. I recommend it to everyone: young people, older people, travelers and lovers.

    Ilunion Bilbao
About three or four years ago, I spent two nights at this hotel on business. The hotel is located close to San Mames Stadium and the central bus station, Termibus. In the vicinity are also bus, metro and tram stops, so it's very well connected to the rest of the city. The room, without being anything special, was not bad. It has a restaurant, but only serves breakfast and lunch. I arrived at night, so I had to go elsewhere for my dinner. The service was good.

    Hesperia Bilbao hotel
This is a good hotel with an excellent location. It's next to the river and from the window of our room, we could see the Guggenheim. Our room was nice, spacious and comfortable. The service was generally good, but a bit stiff, which is normal.

    Meliá Bilbao hotel
What I can say about this 5 star hotel in Bilbao's best area? Well all good things. A couple of years ago my parents celebrated their silver wedding anniversary there, and since then we usually have a snack on the hotel terrace. Architecturally, it's amazing (by the Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, inspired by Chillida sculptures), and although I've stayed there, I'm sure it's a blast.
