This hotel has become Bilbao’s best and not only for the number of stars it has. The Silken chain really worked on this building, that expresses the most modern and contemporary elements, with unique details that make it really special.
The entrance to the atrium is a wonderful feeling. It opens like a great free space and it is dominated by a great sculpture of Mariscal: a Fossil Cypress made of stone that ascends to 26 meters from the ground to the skylight in the terrace. This is how the place manages to bring in natural light in the atrium space.
The interior of the bedrooms also shows an exquisite design. Each room has a personalized style that makes them different from each other, besides the comforts offered by a hotel of this class.
I had the opportunity to visit the hotel for a family wedding and it was incredible: the food is exquisite and you can have an appetizer and drink in the terrace with wonderful views to the Guggenheim!
The hotel is just five minutes from the old town and well connected, although I think that it's a little on the edge, because it's worth its 4 stars as it shows the great quality they offer in their services. The rooms have WIFI, air-con, minibar, phone, safe, spacious bathrooms with bath tubs or columns and are also bright, furnished in a modern style and decorated in warm colors. The hotel has an auditorium!
We booked into this hotel nearly a month ago, and liked it. There were several good things: the room was spacious, with good views. Breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. There were plenty of options, and someone was always on hand to replenish the food. The location was good, on the main road, and close to most sites of interest. However, there were some strange things for a hotel of this size, for example bad wifi in the rooms. We were willing to pay but the signal quality was terrible. Maybe we were just unlucky. Also, the service was a bit lacking sometimes - they didn't know when our room would be ready, but they were happy to let us store our bags while went for a walk.
Whenever I go to Bilbao for work, I stay at the Hotel Ibis Bilbao, which has a good location and a metro station near the hotel. On Sundays, I usual opt to dine in the hotel, at the Etxaniz restaurant, and it never disappoints. The menus aren't bad value (there is one for 19 € and one for 24 €) and the food is pretty good quality. Moreover, it changes with the seasons. Last time, I had grilled young asparagus with cheese, followed by monkfish over rice with mushrooms. For dessert, ice cream. All stunning. As it was Mother's Day, they offered some chocolate hearts. I recommend it, especially if you want a quiet, comfortable, Sunday dinner, when many restaurants are closed.
A great, central hotel. If you stay in it, you'll have no need for the car. It's a 5 minute walk from the Guggenheim. 2 minutes from Ledesma Street, where there are plenty of tapas bars and Abando Metro Station, which takes all over. It is 15 minutes from the Museum of Fine Arts. It is perfect for sightseeing.
Good hotel. Comfortable and well-located, five minutes walk from the Guggenheim, and 10 minutes from the old town. They have a restaurant and cafe, and the rooms feature all the comforts you'd expect; my bathroom was very big.
The super nice apartment had everything. There were four of us and it was ended up pretty cheap at 23 euros a day. It was next to the metro and Bilbao's Old Town pintxos made you want to stay and live there. The girl who brought our food was very nice and explained everything we wanted to know about Bilbao. The apartment also has info of Bilbao free wifi was very useful to us. An easy place to recommend.
I loved the Bilbi Hotel. A friend of mine recommended it to me and I’m glad she did.
It is a simple and well located hotel. It is close to everything (you can walk to almost anywhere from there). I had read that the neighborhood was not the best, but we had no problems. In every city there is a tricky neighborhood, but if you’re careful there is no problem.
The hotel is reformed and it’s fantastic. The bathroom is new (the most important thing for me!) and the room has a nice decoration, simple but modern. It has a nice wallpaper and a silver headboard that I really liked.
The beds are comfortable (I guess they’re also new). The room is very clean.
I recommend it to everyone: young people, older people, travelers and lovers.
This is a good hotel with an excellent location. It's next to the river and from the window of our room, we could see the Guggenheim. Our room was nice, spacious and comfortable. The service was generally good, but a bit stiff, which is normal.
About three or four years ago, I spent two nights at this hotel on business. The hotel is located close to San Mames Stadium and the central bus station, Termibus. In the vicinity are also bus, metro and tram stops, so it's very well connected to the rest of the city. The room, without being anything special, was not bad. It has a restaurant, but only serves breakfast and lunch. I arrived at night, so I had to go elsewhere for my dinner. The service was good.
There aren't many cities in the world as amazing as Bilbao. Its contrasts, its cuisine, its elegant combination of the past and the cutting edge ... it's irresistible, and here at the Mir Hotel, they will do their best to help you discover the city. It has a great location opposite the Guggenheim, close to the main museums and the shopping area, making it the perfect starting point to plunge into Bilbao.

A hotel ten minutes from the Guggenheim and Abando train station. It's within walking distance of most places of interest: The Museum of Fine Arts, Teatro Arriaga ... The hotel offers 152 airconditioned rooms, two meeting rooms and private parking. The rooms are cozy, modern, spacious and comfortable. In addition, the hotel bar, Rendez Vous, open twenty-four hours a day, is the ideal place have a drink at any time of day.
This 2 star hotel is located between Enekuri and Artxanda, 4 km from the centre of Botxo, at coordinates 43, 16 '43 "N 2 56' 46" W. In the welcome area you'll find a wide range of tourist information in the form of brochures, guides, cards and videos, and the staff are happy to help you plan the itinerary of your trip. Affordable, and in a great location, this is my favourite place to stay in Bilbao!
This 3 star hotel is located at the top of the centre of Bilbao, and combines traditional old Basque architecture with modern high-tech design, making it the perfect place to accommodate travelers, whether they're here on business or pleasure. What I can say about this 5 star hotel in Bilbao's best area? Well all good things. A couple of years ago my parents celebrated their silver wedding anniversary there, and since then we usually have a snack on the hotel terrace. Architecturally, it's amazing (by the Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, inspired by Chillida sculptures), and although I've stayed there, I'm sure it's a blast.
The Suite Isasi, is named after the famous composer Andrés Isasi Bilbao, is a landmark hotel located in the Old Quarter of Bilbao, close to the Arriaga Theatre. It is close to the main tourist attractions of the city. The suites have a living room with LCD TV, DVD player, and free Wi-fi, as well as a comfortable double sofa bed. The room has a large double bed and two bedside tables. The bathroom is equipped with everything you might need during your stay, and includes a shower and toilet. There's central heating for your comfort during your stay.
Sorozabal Suites, named after the celebrated composer Pablo Sorozabal, is a great hotel in the old town of Bilbao, very close to the Arriaga theatre. It is very near the major tourist sites of the city, and the suites have a living room equipped with LCD television, DVD player and Wi-Fi connection, as well as a sofa-bed. The bedroom has a large double bed and two bedside tables. The bathroom is equipped with everything you might need during your stay, with a shower and sink. Great hotel in the centre of Bilbao
The truth is that this is a hotel that is ideally located near the bullring and just minutes from the shopping area. Perfect for both business and leisure to explore the city with your family and / or friends. The rooms are spacious and are very well kept, plus they have a great breakfast and their guests are treated incredibly well. It is a hotel that I recommend visiting.
As I am one of the owners, I won't give my experience, but I will describe what we offer and share some pictures, so if you visit Bilbao and you want to, you can come and stay with us. We rent rooms by the day, we are 5 minutes walk and 1 minute by metro (2 stops) from the old town. All our rooms are newly renovated and have a bathroom, shower, heating, wifi in the common area and free parking. Prices range from 30-65 euros depending on room and we give free breakfast tel: 944 734 179 mobile: 664 817 721 e- Email: Bedbreakfast@live.Com
This has a very central location, close to all the city's services. They have free wifi, tea and coffee, and if you ask, the managers will give you the chance to join their organised trips and excursions. The price is fantastic, around 20 euros for one night, with breakfast included. There are rooms from 2-12 people, so if you want to visit Bilbao with a group of friends, this is a good choice. They have heating and security cards, bunk beds, and storage lockers for your luggage.
Ercilla is an overrated hotel that doesn't deserve its 4 stars. Yes, it's located in the center of Bilbao, and you can walk everywhere, but the rooms are old and some even have broken furniture. You're presented with a list of movies that aren't available, as the remote control only has buttons for volume and channel. The gym is terrible. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, and there were cobwebs on the ceiling. We'll never go back.
The Hostal Ria de Bilbao is located in the beautiful and industrial city of Bilbao, beside the Nervion River and just a few minutes' walk from the fabulous Guggenheim Museum, the Bilbao Maritime Museum, Doña Casilda Park, the Basilica of Begoña and the Old Town and it's wealth of entertainment and dining options. It's a charming little hotel with wonderful service.
They say home is where you feel comfortable, and we certainly felt very comfortable at the Bilbao BBK Good Hostel. The service was amazing - the staff are lovely, and treated us like kings. The first thing that happened was that we called to reserve a room. There were four of us going, so we wanted a room for four, but we were told nothing was available, so we were ordered two doubles. We were told that was impossible too, but less than an hour later I got an email informing me that another group had cancelled, so a room for 4 was available. The rooms are huge, from doubles to 10 beds.
Ours, for 4, was giant: we could have thrown a mattress onto the floor if we wanted to, and we would still have had space! The whole hostel is impecable, with individual lockers for each bed with an electronic lock. There are several large terraces, where you can go and relax, and a room with book-crossing, as well as a TV. They have computers, free wifi, a fussball table and drinks machines. Breakfast is included in the price, and they have a huge cafe, with a lovely breakfast of cereal, toast, juice, fruit ... there's limited parking spaces, but what they do have are spacious, closed and secure. We paid 20 € per person and € 8 for parking, but there are cheaper rooms, and I'm sure we'll be back as everything was perfect. Oh, and I forgot to mention - everything is fully accessible for disabled people.
Just 100 metres from the Teatro Arriaga, this is the perfect spot to spend the night in Bilbao. It's just delightful, located in the Casco Viejo, one of the most charming parts of the city. Here you can enjoy cultural entertainment and delve into one of the most important parts of Basque cuisine, tapas. There are single, double and triple rooms available - ten rooms in total, with heating, TV, bathroom and internet access. In the common area you can enjoy a self-service breakfast, internet and newspapers, all included in the room rate. Breakfast time is from 8:00 to 11:00 (Clients in need can apply at the reception). They have other services such as laundry, room service, tour desk, alarm clock, local press, and parking. Price per night (Breakfast and VAT included) from Sunday to Thursday. Single: 40 euros Double: 50 euros Triple: 65 euros Friday and Saturday. Single: 50 euros Double: 60 euros Triple: 75 euros
The Hotel Bilbao Jardines is located in the heart of the city so you won't need to rely on public transport to get around. It's right next to a metro station and the square where the buses leave for the airport. It was opened in 2005, and the facilities are well-maintained and very comfortable. The staff are kind and the price is also reasonable. The parquet floors can be a bit noisy, but for 60.00€ a night at a 2-star hotel in the center of Bilbao, you couldn't ask for more. I'd go back.
