After visiting several hostels in Istanbul, enabling me to compare, this is definitely the best and I will certainly return. It is situated only one minute's walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. By price: about nine euros a night in a quad room with breakfast included. By cleaning. For good service. On top of this you can pay credit card Turkish lira or euros and is well connected with other areas of interest.
It's a cheap place in the heart of Taxim, well connected and with good human services. It's designed for young people, don't take your parents there! We were able take a bottle, smoke inside the room and make trouble until late without drawing any attention. The weak point was the bathrooms, common and not enough hot water. For the same price you can find better hostels but this is a very good option if you go with friends and want to sleep in Taxim.
Istanbul is filled with of Bed and Breakfasts for the thousands of tourists that visit the city each year. We finally decided on the Orient International Hostel and I think it was the best decision we could have made because on arrival we immediately felt at home. We stayed there in March, and there were not many people, but I can assure that the treatment we received I can not be better. People of the hostel is super friendly and will help and advise on things that are worth Istanbul and when to visit. In addition, this hostel is always full of backpackers, even in the time that we had enough, and that makes creating a spectacular environment. Upon arrival we went to the hostel bar, located on the roof of the building and therefore has stunning views, and soon several young men approached us to start a conversation. So we had dinner at the hostel all night together and all the kids signed up to go play football at a field that was lit. Extraordinary relationships are created in a few minutes, really it's fantastic here. The price includes breakfast which is quite extensive, so I can say that in addition to welcoming this hostel is very cheap.
