Baha lost and remote: For instance

Heading north along the east coast of Islay and after passing the church of Kidalton, two things are noticeable. The first thing is that the road just disappears (for vehicles) and the second thing is that the island consists of several small bays all in a little row. Of all of the bays, the most noteworthy is Claggain Bay. One feature is that it's much more open and accessible than Lagavulin Bay, for example. Most of the bay is a beach with sand and a tiny strip of white pebbles. In many cases there is access to the mountains or the meadow directly from the bay. And above all, it gives you the impression that you're isolated in a remote area with difficult access.
