10 reviews of Costa da Vela

Spectacular sunsets

The Costa da Vela is a uniquely beautiful coast of rugged cliffs and unspoiled beaches located between Vigo and Pontevedra. It stretched from the cape of Cabo Home to the cliffs of Dolón and has been declared a natural monument by the Galician government. The cliffs sometimes reach up to 300 meters high and offer amazing views over the ocean. Some parts are good for walking, but it's best to go by car as a lot of areas (like Monte Facho, for example) have free parking. Ancient forts and structures dot the landscape and the sunset over the Atlantic is one of the most spectacular I've ever seen.

A Magical place that I never get tired of visiting

Excellent

Some of the best views of the Rias Baixas coast. Panoramic 360º views of the Cies Islands, Vigo Bay, and even the Ons Islands. Great lighthouse trail around the tip of the O Morrazo Peninsula. Don't forget to indulge in seafood for lunch when you visit! You can visit virtually online now here...
