Saint-Cado and the RIA of Etel

1 review of Saint-Cado and the RIA of Etel

An Exotic Beauty

The Etel estuary is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Brittany. Between Lorient and Vannes, this 22 kilometre squared inland sea, with its oyster parks, peninsulas and marshes, reflects wild Breton nature and the astonishing west side of France. This river valley is invaded by the sea and forms a protected bay full of islands. One of them, called the Saint-Cado, is one of the most beautiful in the whole area. In the mouth, the "Etel barrier" closes the bay by a strip of sand dunes. Here, the views are constantly changing depending on the light and the tide. It's an image that's difficult to resist and you'll fall in love with it.
