If you get a rainy day, you can go to the centre of Florianópolis. There is a mall, called Beiramar Shopping, with enough entertainment. It's great. I was in Ferrugem and took the Bondi to the Floria terminal (I think it was about 2 hours and the ticket is cheap, though I don't remember the exact price from 2010). It's a very nice city, with too much traffic for my taste, but clean and brightly lit.
