Christian IX's Palace

5 reviews of Christian IX's Palace

Christian IX Palace

The impressive architectural ensemble of Amalienborg consists of this palace and three others. In the heart of Copenhagen, it has been the residence of the Danish royal family since 1794. They are four impressive Rococo buildings that were begun in 1750 and finished in 1768. You could say that next to the famous Little Mermaid is the most visited monument in the city. However, you can only visit part of the palace.
