1 review of Deloraine & District Folk Museum

Folk museum

The Deloraine Folk Museum dates back to 1856 when the house was built for the Johnstone family. The building was extended and opened as the "Family and Commercial Inn" between 1863-1894. In the 20th century the building was used mainly for housing and offices. In 1972, it was donated by Mrs. Alma Bramich to the community to host the Deloraine Folk Museum Districts. The museum shows aspects of country life. The tour will take you through the country house, each room reflects how people lived in this period. At the end of the house, you'll find the pub, one of the oldest in Deloraine, and outside there is a beautiful garden.
