In 1976, the "Women for the Bicentennial" campaign fought and won the right to restore and operate Laurel Hill Mansion, owned by the Fairmount Park Commission. The Women of Greater Philadelphia organization proudly continue the tradition. Today the purpose of Women of Greater Philadelphia is still to enhance the cultural image of the Philadelphia area and to maintain and preserve Laurel Hill Mansion.
