A medieval public space
One of the best preserved examples of a medieval Italian public space, this is the religious and civic centre of the city. It's close to the beautiful cathedral dedicated to Santa Maria of the Assumption, the Torrazzo, Baptistery, City Hall, and the Loggia del Militi. The square is enclosed on three sides by the main buildings of the city, and you can find the tourist office here, in an old pharmacy building.
