1 review of Crypt of the Cremona Cathedral

In the starry crypt

Great

In the middle of the Cathedral of Cremona, a staircase - very busy during events like the Festival of Turin - leads to the crypt, where the city's nine patron saints are buried. It dates back to 1600, and the first thing that hit me was the frescoed ceiling with columns and golden decorations. Behind the altar you can see the mummified body of one of the saints, and admission is free.
