That French Spiral
I saw this incredible spiral staircase as I peered through the window of an empty shop in the Viaduc des Arts near the Gare de Lyon in Paris. The elegant curve seems to disappear into the reflection of the building across the street. I don't know of any place in the world that such a staircase could be found other than France. And no railings! That would never pass the building codes in the US! And then there is that purple! Ah, the French.
