Whitley Bay is a town situated in the municipality of North Tyneside, near the city of Newcastle. You can even go on the metro from Tyne and Wear, which during the summer is a good way to get to the beach. You are at the seashore, but it is impossible to swim, as the water is far too cold. However, there are plenty of other leisure activities that you can do to help you enjoy the day. The coast is very green and pretty wild, without being on the other side of the world, and you can get there by the metro! On the windy beach, which is perfect for a session of windsurfing or kite surfing, there is a sea school where you can rent all the material you need.
