Northumberland

At the border between Scotland and England, the Northumberland region has much to offer visitors. First is the beautiful city of Newcastle, animated and dynamic throughout the year. There is always a festival, concert or an exhibition to see or visit. Then there is the coast, which is wild and wonderful for walkers, windsurfers, golfers or mountain bikers. The small towns of the region have a rich history and are generally beautiful and worth a visit. Among them are Blyth, Ford, Alnmouth and Berwick Upon Tweed. The most interesting spot however is certainly Hadrian's Wall, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage, and is along the 120 km border between England and Scotland.
