This is a restaurant we always go to when we visit Algarve and of course Lagos, one of the most beautiful cities in the whole area. It´s a luxury for its absence, but its comfortable, nice, with good service and very centric You must try its seafood rice and above all the prawns made in a Mozambique style.
The restaurant D. Henrique was one of the places we visited in Lagos,a nd it was recommended by the Michelin Guide. The place is cozy and tastefully decorated, with many decorative motifs, such as the crib or pine, and it reminded us that Christmas was coming. We decided on a specialty of the house called Cataplana de Peixe, which was delicious, and almond pie dessert and lemon sorbet, all accompanied by wine and soft drinks, coffee, etc. for 2 people the bill was not over 40 euros, so I recommend it because the price / quality is excellent.
One of the best and greatest restaurants I discovered in Lagos, in fact, we actually went two or three times during my stay in the Algarve, and I must say it was always full of people, especially English because they were the most common tourists in the area. The restaurant Adega de Marina is located on the main avenue of the promenade which is close to the historic center of the city. In addition to the variety of meat and fish dishes, another of its main attractions is the speed that they serve you despite how many people who go there for lunch or even dinner. And what about prices? Without ordering dessert, the bill did not exceed €30 for two people. A restaurant that I recommend if you visit Lagos in the Algarve.
O Charco Restaurant is situated in the historic center of Lagos, on a street full of stores and restaurants. We were looking around all over the street, and we thought this restaurant looked nice so we decided to give it a try. We were not mistaken, we ate well and the service was great. There were 3 of us, so we ordered two cataplanas, a grilled sole, and a bottle of water and a pint cane, which came out to 47.50 for all of us. One thing to remember is that here they put out starters and if you take them, they charge you for it.
An English pizzeria in Algarve, good thing we could understand! We were served by an Englishwoman who spoke perfect Portuguese, and in fact also understood Spanish, and very friendly. The pizzeria is situated in the center of the village of Burgau, a little more than 10 minutes drive from Lagos. As the name implies, it specializes in pizzas, but also has salads, pastas and offers "take away". The day we went the place was full of people, almost all English speaking and very nice. Te pizzas are very good. They have good rates between 7 and 12 € a pizza, depending on the size of it of course.
After going over the recommendations of the restaurants in Lagos, we decided to try this one. The appearance of the place is not the best, but the food was good and the service was also good. It's a great place to try the typical fish of the area because the value is well worth it.
It is one of those places that is known by the local people. It is by the sea, in a small beach town but very cozy, familiar, and quiet. The restaurant had everything that we look for when we go to eat out: good service and good food in a pleasant atmosphere, but best of all the price. I recommended rice powder (octopus).
The only restaurant in Praia Do Camilo and the extensive fish menu is worth trying. The restaurant is so well located that the views are spectacular from any point, whether inside or on the terrace. If you go to this beach and don't bring food, I suggest you book upon arrival because if you want to eat at rush hour, it's likely to be full. Also, once you go down to the beach you may feel lazy and not want to go back up the 220 steps to the sea.
On the upper side of Discovery Avenue, near the sailing club and the Monument to Gonzalo of Lagos, we stopped at the O Naufragio Bar. It is rather strange, as it is decorated like a boat inside, with walls made of strips of wood and sheet metal (like a submarine). It has an area where you can play pool. It also has a super cool terrace suspended over the beach. It is a coffee bar, which also serves lunchtime snacks(sandwiches, burgers, omelettes and salads).
Pork with Clams2/10 (too find pickles in a stew is something I found pathetic)
Not even 1 homemade dessert.
All this with Mateus Rosé and some fries for 39.20
The waiter passes by your side burping without a hair cut does not have price ...
Reviews are not always going to be good.
