Excellent for nature lovers. A close-up of the flamingos is amazing, beautiful. Overall it is well worth going to relax, walk in the mangroves, swim in the water hole and after the tour (1 hour approx.) throw yourself on a sunlounger on the beach or sample the local cuisine. I highly recommend Merida, it is just 1hr away and fairly easy to get to. I would suggest avoiding going in the afternoon asit will be difficult to find other visitors to split the cost of the tour boat (between $ 700 and $ 1,000).
We say this during a trip to Celestun Port to visit the famous Ria where many species of birds are nesting like flamingos and mangroves that create particular shapes in the river and in some places it seems that you are entering a cave or something like that. On the beach there is a spring that makes the sunsets seem heavenly. The photographs were taken with a Pentax analog camera and the black and white negatives were then scanned.
It seemed like the birds were posing for me that evening, while I was walking with my family along the seashore. It had been a windy afternoon, but incredibly the air ceases, the waves calmed, and the birds stopped to rest in the ruins of an old pier.
For me, the beach is a place for exciting relaxation. It comforts every part of my body, every summer the city dwellers flee to take refuge on the beaches of our beautiful state, where peace floods my body and I lose myself in the salty ocean air.
