A picture is worth a thousand words. This place is located at a tranquil setting and you can see stunning views. The gardens are the best part. You should view the castle from the outside. It is worthwhile to enter and walk the halls. The village is also beautiful with local hotels and restaurants. The audio tour is well. I must say that is a small castle, not Versailles, so it looks fast. It can be with children but the chairs should be left to go, and bring in arms or backpack if you do not walk. It is highly recommended.
Azay-le-Rideau is one of the pretty villages that form the Loire Valley in France. It is best known for the Castle, whose striking image is what is seen if suspended in the water. Apart from visiting the Castle, it's worth taking a stroll through this beautiful and peaceful village of cobbled streets. As for accommodation, it has several hotels, most are small, such as the Hôtel de Biencourt or Hôtel Les Trois Lys.
The Church of Saint Symphorien is located in the center of Azay-le-Rideau, a few minutes walk from the Castle of Azay-le-Rideau. It is a small church built in the tenth century, and has undergone several renovations and restorations to stay with its current appearance. On one of the doors you can see carved sculptures of the 12 apostles. The visit is free.
