We dined at the restaurant l'Antonio. They have a terrace facing the sea and serve you quickly. We ate a salad and some tapas and the price worked out well. We would recommend it. Then we went to a cocktail at Okeanos and we will not be returning. Slow service and cocktails you can find in any supermarket (since they come from a prepared bottle) The best point was the ambience in the terrace with the coast of Roses in front.
Ruins in L'Escala
Ruins of Empúries
(27)
Whilst walking along a tree-lined promenade, bordered by dunes, connecting L'Escala and Sant Martí d'Empúries, visitors can stumble upon the Greek and Roman ruins d'Empurias. The Greek section is situated in the lower area of this archaeological site, near the sea, while the Roman dominates the uptown area. The Roman town retains some of its walls, one of the doors and some of the major house walls and mosaics. These ruins were discovered in the early twentieth century and 25 percent of the city has not yet been excavated.
Coves in L'Escala
Montgó Cove

This is a beautiful cove, as typical of the area but its easy accessibility makes it very popular with families, especially French ones. But the views and sea make it worth visiting. There are some restaurants where you can have dinner near the sea and a drink afterwards.

Empúries Beach

To the north of the old town of L'Escala lie the calm and pristine beaches of Empúries. Nearby the Museu de l'Anxova i Sal and beside the commemorative sculpture on the arrival of the Olympic flame in Empúries, created for the occasion of the celebration of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, begins a journey laced with perfumes and pine shadows, and in some areas, dunes and remains of the ruins of Empúries. This path begins in L'Escala and leads to Sant Martí d'Empúries, which is a pedestrian path and cycle route to each of the Empúries beaches. There is only one possible choice if you want an unspoilt beach complete with snack bar and sun loungers to rent, a large beach promenade and a picturesque village ... Or choose a corner in Quilométrica beach which begins in Sant Martí d'Empúries and ends at the mouth of the river Fluvia in Sant Pere Pescador. Both of the Empúries beaches are sandy and slightly rocky underneath. At one, visitors have the chance to swim alongside a Hellenistic jetty. Each of these beaches would be a great choice.

Sunset in the harbor of L'Escala, Girona. Nice town on the Costa Brava, where you can find peace as well as fun. At equilibrium is where one begins to relax, which is what we need for the holidays.
Islands in L'Escala
Illa Mateua

Located in the coastal town of L'Escala, a magical place. We find here an island with an underwater cave. In the surrounding area there are various diving centers where dives are scheduled to discover this interesting place. Not suitable for sunbathing and lying on your towel, as the stones will leave you with a sore back. It is a place to explore, to dive and some brave swimmers jump from the rocks, although I do not recommend it as it is dangerous.

Escollera Helenística D'Empúries

I already knew it was there, because I go there a lot, but one afternoon it looked special sitting on the the d'Empúries beaches behind the dunes. They say it's been there for a long time, and has withstood the dashing sea. It was built in the first century BC. That afternoon it seemed magical, I could imagine the Greeks busily tying their boats to the pier and the noisy traders coming and going to Focea. Back to reality, the walk from L'Escala to Sant Martí d'Empúries was relaxing. I bathed next to that 68 meter long wall, which is a Hellenistic breakwater from an ancient Greek city.

Path of Roman Baths

A very quiet and beautiful spot, away from the urban core. It is worth going to see. It is apprpximately a five minute drive from L'Escala. Unfortunately I ran out of battery at the time to get to the spa, but still the path is worth a visit and very photogenic. If you ever pass by Gerona I suggest a visit.

Bars in L'Escala
Medusa Bar

This is the best place to have breakfast, an aperitif or a drink at night and always by the sea. Here are lights, a few plastic bottles with a light bulb inside and candles. A unique spot. Sometimes you have live music, jam sessions etc. It opens from the months of May to September.

Rent of Sailing Ships in Costa Brava
I've sailed twice with Navega Costa Brava. Once with a group of friends (we went to Mallorca for four days) and once with my family; The kids had a great time and everyone enjoyed it. I find it suitable for both families and groups of friends or couples (something that I have not tested and would love to try). I highly recommend it.

La Lluna Bar

A night bar found inside the town of L'Escala. There is a gravel terrace, beautiful to sit in summer and an indoor bar with football and billiards. The waiters are super nice people, delicious salads and the best venue to get into the mood to then party.
