Sant Feliu de Guixols

The Sant Feliu is steps from the historic center, next to the port, the beach (with a very pleasant urban environment) and the view of the boats and the lighthouse is phenomenal. It has showers, a playground and has easy access to the promenade. There can be strong winds, which are characteristic of this area, so if the sun shines you have to go protected.

The Monastery is perhaps one of the main heritage attractions of the city. Benedictine with origins that date back to the X century, it reached its height in the XII-XIII centuries when it dominated much of the surrounding territory. It is known as Porta Ferrada, the whole church is flanked by two towers, the Fum and the del Corn.

Sant Feliu de Guíxols Beach

The Costa Brava has many places to lose yourself and relax and in the province of Girona there are few places where you can see the mountain alongside the beach. The beach of Sant Feliu is one of those sites, it's huge, very long and wide, making it ideal for any time of day, also it isn't one of those crowded beaches full of people who weren't invited - rather, the opposite.

Public Fountain
(2)
Public fountain in Plaza del Mercado, opposite the town hall and dating from 1859. It is listed as a capital asset of the city and its value is its historical memory. It was one of the first water sources of the city and was donated by Feliu Cabarrocas a citizen residing in Sant Feliu, Cuba. I've seen pictures of the fountain, including a couple of lanterns, but currently it doesn't have them and seems somewhat abandoned.

Bus Stations in Sant Feliu de Guíxols
Estación de Autobuses de Sant Feliu de Guíxols
(1)
I really like this type of contemporary buildings. The station itself already provides, architecturally speaking, a number of dynamic elements, combining full and empty spaces and covered with matching shapes and panels. The bus station achieves this by its handling of raw cement, glass and materials that give strength to the design and the contrasts. The station is managed by the Sarfa group, it has a small inner lobby with lockers, food vending machines, toilets and a small tourist information office. It is also home to the city's economic development office that provides assistance to small businesses and is right next to the municipal parking and just a few steps from the historic city center.
