Carratraca is a small and very pretty village, which emerged around the spa. The Bullring is on the same street as the spa, in the suburbs, and its interesting because most of the stands are excavated in the rock. It can accommodate approximately 3000 people and was built in 1878 when it was thought of as a bullring. Nowadays it sometimes holds events and the Passion of Christ is depicted during Easter. Enjoy!
This is a great place, not just because of the town center but because of the legend of a lady from Malaga who belonged to the gentry of the nineteenth century. She made a palace in this town, and brought her friends and family to try the healing waters of the spring in the town. Ardales cave is spectacular and the local people are very nice.
There is a legend that says that Trinidad Gründ was inspired by a Venetian palace. Maybe it's just a legend, one of the many that exist in Carratraca, but it is a good thing as this spa is very good for all skin conditions, including psoriasis, muscle problems, etc. I have known doctors for the Spanish football league whom have recommended this place for players' rehabilitation of muscle injury because the recovery is much faster. Also, many women who were struggling to get pregnant, became pregnant after bathing in its waters. I encourage you to visit the town and its spa.
