Lake Havasu City is known for its high temperatures and large areas for swimming, so we asked the receptionist at the Hampton Inn Hotel to advise us on the best beach in the region for going for a swim. Without hesitation, she directed us to the Rotary Park and beach. Early in the morning (9-10am), the water was already warm enough to swim. The swimming area is surrounded by buoys, and it wasn't crowded, as most people began to arrive later. We had a really good, refreshing time!
Yes, it may seem strange, but there is indeed a London Bridge in the United States, in Lake Havasu City. The bridge has an interesting story: the founder of the city bought it in London, and rebuilt it stone by stone. It is now the second most popular tourist attraction in Arizona, after the Grand Canyon!
