    SANA Lisboa Hotel
If you´re in Lisbon, don´t miss this hotel. For a 3-night romantic package, I paid € 375. This came with a closed garage and fresh fruit everyday in the afternoon delivered to my room. It also included a beautiful view of the Castle of Sao Jorge, free solarium use, a sauna, and a daily newspaper. Subway and bus stops are located right outside of the hotel. I could not have asked for more!

    HF Fenix Lisboa hotel
A 4-star hotel located in the Marquis of Pombal Square. It was refurbished in 2004, and it's a comfortable hotel located in the centre, but not right in the busiest part of the city. The metro (line 1) is right on the doorstep, and there are plenty of buses. In fact, from the airport, the number 22 bus leaves you right at the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms aren't too big, but they're more than adequate for a city hotel. The breakfast buffet is pretty good. It's right at the start of the Eduardo VII park.

    Tivoli Palacio de Seteais hotel
Seteais Palace was built in the late eighteenth century for Daniel Gildemeester, Dutch Consul in Portugal. The palace was extended in the early nineteenth century when it belonged to Dom Diogo de Meneses Vito Joseph Noronha Coutinho, Marquis of Marialva. He built the left wing of the palace and its majestic arch (in 1802) in honor of the visit of Dom João VI, Prince Regent, and Queen Carlota Joaquina. It's a stately neo-classical palace built by the architect José da Costa e Silva. The interior has undergone several restorations has a room frescoed with mythological motifs. The palace gardens are simply stunning, well kept and beautiful. From the garden overlooking the main facade is Pena Palace and the Castle above the mountain and in the garden on the other side of the palace there is a nice view of the surroundings, Palace Monsterrate and sea. Very, very nice. Today it is a fabulous 5 star hotel (one of the best in Portugal) belonging to the Tivoli Portuguese hotel chain, but it is being completely renovated.

Pestana Palace Lisboa Hotel & National Monument
I stayed at this amazing hotel during one of my visits to the city of Lisbon. It is ideal to relax and unwind in the spa while feeling like a prince in a nineteenth century palace, especially at breakfast, in that wonderful salonesde time. The gardens are classified as National Monument and have views of the river Tagus and April 25 Bridge.

    Costa da Caparica hotel
One summer afternoon at the beach in Costa Caparica we were able to see an ancient form of fishing. All the time we were accompanied by the incessant clamor of thousands of gulls and very explanatory video about the results.

    Youth Hostels in Lisbon
    Travellers House - Hostel
The Travellers House is the best youth hostel I've ever stayed in! It is located centrally (3 minutes walk from the Plaza del Comercio), clean, nice, and with a generous and outgoing owners, for example, for New Years Eve they organized a beer-drinking contest to promote his "open bar" , a cooler full of beers that everyone could help themselves to. The decor of this place is fantastic and makes you forget the fact that you are having to share a room with 3 or 5 people in wooden bunks, and have a communal bathroom (which obviously is separated for boys and girls). I think they have a private room but I don't know what it costs or if it is hard to reserve and if it is usually always full. In the lounge, there are several nice sofas and beanbags and it is a space where you can hang out and listen to music or read one of the many travel guides at your disposal. There is also a nice kitchen that can be used, a large dining room and a lounge with computers and free internet. It is advisable to book a month or more in advance because everyone knows that this is THE hostel in Lisbon.

    Micasaenlisboa hotel
Micasaenlisboa is a bed & breakfast in the Graça neighborhood, one of the most real and authentic Lisbon towns, without tourists. It is between two viewpoints, Graça and the prettiest town in Lisbon, Senhora do Monte, on the tram route 28. All 4 bedrooms have beautiful views of the city, from San Jorge Castle, Chiado, to April 25th bridge. In addition there is a small garden where you can have breakfast, drink a wine in the evening, or lie and do nothing in the company of Lola, the friendliest dog in the world. The owner is a Spanish woman who fell in love with the city and this little gem was opened in summer 2007. It has a collection of beautiful vintage furniture and lamps, and both she and the friends who help her, give advice about thousands of sites that do not make the guides to help you make the trip about doing what you love, not what they say in tourist information offices. On Saturdays Ladra accompanies you and helps you to haggle at the better known places and meet all sellers. Rooms come with private bathrooms, wonderful breakfasts (they feed you lots, but it's worth it), wifi and complimentary bar. The best room, the attic, has a very low roof, but lovely bathroom and a terrace with amazing views (I uploaded photos). They will expand, but still do not know when, so you better ask.

    Lawrences Hotel
We were having dinner there one night and loved it. Excellent dishes with very good presentation and very friendly. The price was 20-35 euros depending on if you drink wine and have a dessert. For us it only cost 19 euro with water. It's a place, that although isn't very cheap, is well worth it.

    VIP Executive Villa Rica Hotel
I visited this hotel in May 2007 and the truth is that I would like to go again. It is a 4 star hotel in a quiet area but with good communication links to the city center by metro (the station is virtually opposite and about 4 stops to th centre). It is a 4-star hotel opened in 2002 and comprises of a total of 171 rooms, cafe, restaurant, spa, sauna, gift shop, conference rooms ... There is a garage but not necessary because you can park on the street without any problems (although it is an ORA area). The room was very spacious: It had two 105cm beds, TV, minibar, etc, and free internet (ask for a network cable at reception). It was clean, and the decor was modern and new. We slept very well, as it is a very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was also very spacious with a hot tub and full range of amenities. Of course there were radiators for heat and air conditioning for cold air with an adjustable thermostat in each room. Accidentally, we ordered breakfast in the room, as we did not realize that it is one hour behind so we got confused about the time we wanted it. There was no problem, we called reception and within 10 minutes it arrived. We ordered two continental breakfasts and the truth is that two people could ask for one breakfast. The supplement for ordering room service breakfast 4 €. The common areas were also in line with the rest of the hotel- current and modern, the lobby was very large, without walls separating areas, with a piano and courtyards that give a sense of spaciousness. There was also a computer area with free internet service. The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect Spanish ( we even called them to book us a table for dinner in a restaurant). In the basement there is a spa (which unfortunately was closed), use of which is included in the price of accommodation, it had a sauna and an indoor pool. They also offered other payable services such as massage, to join the water aerobics classes by appointment), and other water activities. Of course, I would highly recommended this hotel.

    Tiara Park Atantic Hotel
I was lucky enough to stay at this luxurious hotel on my recent trip to Lisbon. It is conveniently located next to the Marques de Pombal Square, close to the historic centre of the city. The entire hotel has great service, and looks picture-perfect. It has elegant, functional decor, sure to make you feel comfortable. It has a bar, restaurant, free wifi, business centre, parking, fitness room, laundry, babysitting and other services. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and with all the details perfect - stereo, plasma screen TV, the most complete minibar I've ever seen, and an immaculate bathroom with bathrobe, slippers and more. The views of Lisbon from the room are also spectacular. The breakfast buffet is just wonderful, very thorough and very efficient service. Overall the friendliness and professionalism of the employees caught my attention. Being a luxury hotel the hotel's private parking seemed somewhat expensive, as did the drinks at the bar, but I suppose that's common in hotels of this category. In short, you'll have a stay to remember here.

    Hotels in Ericeira
    Vila Gale Ericeira hotel
This 4-star hotel is located in the fishing village of Ericeira 50 kilometers from Lisbon which can be reached by motorway in about 30 minutes. It´s located on the edge of a small cliff and when you look out your deck, it´s like you´re on a boat because the cliff really hangs over the sea. It´s a delight to see the sunset from the terrace too. It´s a very nice hotel despite being very large. The staff is polite and very pleasant and they make you feel right at home. It has a very nice bar with a man who plays the piano and sings in the evenings. The rates are pretty cheap except in July and August during high season. There are two superimposed terraces and three pools, one saltwater and one for children. In the middle of the upper terrace there´s a covering that resembles the deck of a ship. It´s wonderful to watch the waves break from this spot. This hotel is a very special place to me so I recommend it to everyone. I usually go at least three times a year!
    Hotels in Peniche
    Hotel Soleil Peniche
This hotel is part of the Sol Melia group and I have been there a couple of times and it has very good prices, so I recommend it. The Sol Peniche is located opposite the beach of Alfarroba (on the road that indicates Baleal) and about 500 meters from the center of the town of Peniche. It is a good hotel located, as I say, very close to the beach, and major tourist attractions. It has 102 rooms including 4 rooms that are wheelchair accessible. The rooms have a balcony, bathroom with hairdryer, AC, satellite TV, safe and telephone. The hotel also has a restaurant, buffet breakfast, two pools (one heated), two elevators and parking. I recommend that you stay towards the entrance of Peniche, near the beach are. The rooms are spacious and comfortable almost all of which overlook the pool or the beach (more like the dunes) and because it has good prices, except during August.

    Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon
Great hotel, the Ritz Lisboa has views and a great deal. It's in a beautiful, romantic city that makes you go back in time. It has reasonable and affordable prices and the food is very rich and varied, specialty fish and cod that's good and fresh tasting. Ideal for getaways.

    Hotel Miraparque
A quiet hotel near the Park Metro Station, near the center (you can easily walk, although with the city's transport it takes five minutes). Our room was good, comfortable and updated with a very large bathroom and separate sitting area with a sofa bed. The staff was friendly and attentive. The number 44 bus can take you to and from the airport, although it is better to take the Aerobus, which costs 3.50 euros, because then you can take all the buses you want throughout the whole day, even trams and elevators. The Santa Justa bus, which charges by the minute, comes free with the Aerobus ticket if you use it the same day.

A fantastic hotel, right next to the sea. It has over 30 luxury rooms, a pool, and restaurant. The entrance to the pool is 50 euros, but there are several places nearby where you can bathe in clear water. The restaurant food is great - the cod is exquisite. A quiet place at the old lighthouse (hence the name).
