Christ Church Southport

Founded in 1821 by Rev William Docker, the first Christian Church in the city. Demolished in the 50s because of safety problems. It kept the imposing central tower and was remodelled. In 1987, another study revealed more safety problems, so it was closed for nine years and was again restored. Today it is a beautiful church in the central street. Ideal to visit to admire how much its many reforms cost.
