Amazing hidden gem in San Diego residential area

Spruce Street Suspension Bridge is a nice hidden gem in San Diego located in a residential area. It’s a great way to spend several minutes and it’s free of charge – both to walk across and to park. The bridge is mostly just a nice alternative to touristy places in the city, but makes for awesome photographs. And if you get lucky and visit when there aren’t too many people, it’s a relaxing site to just spend some time in your own thoughts or in the company of some friends. It’s also fun to walk across (it wobbles a bit so it may seem scary to some, but it can definitely hold multiple people walking up and down) and simply look out at the houses and at the green vegetation below.

Made me sad!

Not recommendable

This makes me so sad. My childhood had many memories of the bridge and all its beauty. I wanted to take my family to enjoy this experience, but sadly decided not to, due to the drug activity and alcohol abuse that has affected the area badly. The cars parked in the area regularly get vandalized. Really disappointed to see that one of my favorite childhood attractions has become a dangerous place for visitors.

Really disappointed!

Saw some amazing pictures of this place so decided to visit. Really disappointed by the experience of the surrounding area is noisy and rowdy.

There are many homeless people and underage drinkers in the area that is making this place dangerous to visit.

Bad experience

Not recommendable

The bridge visit was such a bad experience as the drunk driver suddenly come from somewhere and crashed into our parked car. There is no security staff at the bridge. My car was damaged badly. I would not recommend anyone for the visit.
