1 review of Armagh

A magnificent cathedral

Armagh is one of Northern Ireland's southernmost cities, close to the border with the Republic of Ireland. It is one of the most Catholic cities in the country, and you can see some traces of the IRA, like graffiti. Nevertheless, it seems quite peaceful now. There are two cathedrals, one Protest, and and the other Catholic (St Patrick's). St Patrick's is magnificent, and jumps out at you as you enter the city. Armagh has been the site of violent clashes throughout its history.
