Cafe Sacher

Salzburg also offers a pleasant walk through the city of Mozart. It is a visit that chocolate lovers must not miss. Like the cities of Innsbruck, Graz and Vienna, Salzburg hosts the old Café Sacher, which shares a building with the hotel of the same name. This café, with its baroque decor, chandeliers and gilded racks, reminds you of the cafés of the Viennese court, which have been recreated many times in films. There visitors can enjoy authentic Sachertorte, whose original recipe dates from 1832, and acquire a sweet souvenir in their pastry shop. The Sacher cake is made from chocolate cake and a layer of apricot jam.
