Horse Racing

If you come to Fredericksburg in the summer, chances are high that you will be there during a horse race. In the summer months six competitions are held at the Hippodrome of Gillespie. Leave your hat and anything classy at home, and wear a cowboy hat because here everything is done country style. Ranchers come to gamble and drink beer. You can do the same if you want the true authentic experience.
