Cathedral of Agios Georgios

St. George's Cathedral is located on the highest part of the village of Ano Syros, a pretty village on the island of Syros in the Cyclades, Greece. Built around 1200, its importance is paramount to the region. In 1617, the Turks destroyed it. It as been rebuilt several times but its present appearance has remained the same since 1834s.
