Saint Dionysus Areopagita Catholic Cathedral

1 review of Saint Dionysus Areopagita Catholic Cathedral

Saint Dionysus

It was built between 1853 and 1887 and is one of the few remaining vestiges of Roman religion in Athens. This is where the Kings of Spain got married. Inside you will find marble and frescoes. it can be placed between the ornate decoration of Orthodox churches and sobriety of Catholics. It is located on Avenue Leoforos Venizelou Eleftheriou, near the Parliament building and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, one of the places where you can watch the changing of the guard.
