Gran Tretro Wielki

The Grand Theatre Wielki in Warsaw, is also an architectural headquarters of the Polish National Opera. If you are in this city, you wil find right in the historic Plaza Theatre. The theater was inaugurated on February 24, 1833, with Rossini 's The Barber of Seville. In Later years, the building was completely destroyed by WWII bombing. Then it was rebuilt, and the building reopened on November 19, 1965, after being closed for over twenty years. According to Antonio Corazzi plans 1825, the front facade of the building used to feature a triumphant sculpture of Apollo, patron of the arts, driving a chariot drawn by four horses.
