Portobello Street Market

When you talk about London, you have to talk about their shops and markets... and there sure are a lot. The Portobello market is especially well-known for its antique and specialty shops, and as the song says "where bought and sold to the Sun." And following this verse, we can see how there is a significant section of vegetables and food stalls of all kinds. As you walk along its steep streets, your nose will not rest for even a second, hundreds of odors invade it mercilessly, trying to get its attention, tempting your senses and tempting you to try a delicacy. From fruits and vegetables of all sizes, via crêpes made instantly, gigantic "Spanish paellas" smelling divinely, hundreds of cakes of all flavors, salmon rolls, marzipan croissants, pizzas or cookies souvenir, even beautiful fish await us so that we take with us.

Accessories galore

Great

From Friday to Sunday, Portobello Green Market complements the already famous antique market in Portobello Road. At the bottom of the street, you'll find this market, best summed up by a single word: Vintage! Indeed, the market has over 800 stalls, all richer than each other: thrift and old clothes, old leather bags, jewelry of all kinds, accessories galore ... and many young designers come here to get started in their career. The prices are a little high, but there's a wealth of choices available.

Color and street performers

Excellent

I'll start by saying that is the place in London I liked most. After getting off the underground at Notting Hill Gate and following the directions on the signs, we reached Portobello Market. I first took a look at the neighborhood and then looked at the street that the market is on.
It was already 12:00pm and it was packed, but I was in awe the entire time. The market is dedicated to antiques and relics. There is a giant store full of sewing machines, each facade a different colour. When you think you've seen it all, groups of street musicians appear, who are nice and good. Stop to watch them.

A great place to visit

This is a charming city, a city that's hard to get tired of because it offers you of all the best of culture, tastes and amenities, tailored to each personality. I recommend the Portobello Market on the Piccadilly underground line (blue) at the Notting Hill stop, Saturdays and Sundays, to take advantage of visiting one of the more "chik" areas in London. There's a flea market with antiques, clothes, food, etc.. It is advisable to go early, since during the weekend thousands of people go and it's quite large. This first photo: Portobello Road.

Portobello Market

A good time to go to Portobello Market to browse is on a Saturday afternoon. You can do some shopping or just wander around. Antiques, vintage clothing, shirts, food, mixed like a huge bazaar.
