Tyne and Wear Metro

The Newcastle Metro is a fast and effective way to explore the city, which has a lot of traffic especially downtown. The town itself is very small and the tourist attractions are relatively close to each other, but the metro takes you beyond the city, into the region of the River Tyne, with some 60 stations between the cities of Gateshead, Sunderland and North and South Tyneside. Carrying over 40 million passengers per year, the Newcastle Metro has been voted the most efficient the country on several occasions. To locate the stations, you have to look in the yellow cubes with a black M. A single ticket costs between £1.30 and £2.80.

Expensive

Good

Personally speaking I think transport in Newcastle is too expensive for no reason like their metro don't come as often as London' underground nor do they run as late as London' underground .
