As newcomers to San Vicente we wanted to try some seafood but it is overwhelming as you are giving that slips from all the different restaurants. At the end of the avenue we found El Pescador, it seems a simple bar but we ordered some tapas to share, mussels, clams, octopus, razorfish -all very good, fast and a good price. We'll definitely be going back.
If you get to this pretty village on the Cantabrian coast and want to run away from the typical tourist restaurants with menus, then this is the place. It's a tapas bar on one of the main avenues. The quality of the products, the price and service make me recommend this bar / restaurant.
We ate the menu, the fresh seafood and rice were great, the menu was worth the € 12. Octopus, razorfish, clams and prawns, friendly waiters, but we had the worst time finding a place to park. Hope you like it.
This restaurant, part of Cantabria Infinita Quality Club, is a seafood restaurant with fresh seafood and some meat. The menu consists of crabs, prosciutto, fried calamari, fried anchovies, seafood tuna ratatouille and a barbeque of different fish. For dessert, profiteroles and pudding. All raw materials are first class and felt very fresh, the owner told us they were caught in San Vicente de la Barquera. I liked the ratatouille as it was something different, although the fish were grilled just right. As I was invited I can not talk about price, but the food is of great quality, and the atmosphere is very seaworthy with classical décor that doesn't distract from the food.
We were 3 families with children and they were very entertained with the village children riding bikes and playing on the swings. In addition to a very good deal and excellent food it is very quiet and pleasant. Highly recommended!. Ask for Mario. It's a blast. We'll be back for sure.
You'll eat in a restaurant away from the village, in front of a BP gas station, with a good terrace and children's park, potato tortilla (very good), chorizo in cider and croquettes, with paper tablecloths and some nice waiters. 10 €/person.
There's nothing like waiting till the rain clears with a good range of wines, rations and sartenadas and with good music or dine at the rear on the tastefully covered terrace. In the center of San Vicente de la Barquera.
