We went because it has a nice terrace, but it was all bad. We ordered 5 menus and the only spaghetti that was acceptable was the children's. The stew, the black rice with squid tasted bad. The monkfish with mushrooms , we left it whole. The roast chicken was okay to eat. We paid the hazing!
We were looking for a place to eat where our dog would be allowed, and ideally with a terrace. We ate the menu which was very good and had six starters and six main dishes to choose from. It is near the Museum of Torture.
The other day I was with some friends walking around Santillana del Mar and decided to have a beer. By chance, we found this bar/terrace. Really, we entered because my friend's child noticed the swings inside, and we saw that it looked really great inside. Therefore, we thought it must be pricey .. . But no, I was surprised that their prices are quite affordable considering where it is located. For example, a glass of juice in tube 1 €, a white wine 1 €, etc. I think the average cup costing € 4.50, a penalty was not there in the evening on the terrace. Finally, a terrace (no bar) where you can be very comfortable and with reasonable as a tourist.
I will not elaborate, all you need to know is that if you want to go to a special place where you will eat well and be comfortable, this is the place. The Value for money is very good, and now there aren't too many people since it just opened. The farm-yard is huge and also makes celebrations and weddings. Take advantage because it is magnificent!
Parador de Santillana del Mar is one of those places that you never forget. The decor is amazing and you can see views of the Bison of Altamira so you can contemplate the scenery quietly while waiting for your order. The kitchen is of superb quality, no doubt, the best in the area. You will feel great during your visit there.
A couple of weeks ago I was in Santillana del Mar and Cantabria and found out that there is great meat there made on stone. We asked a guy about where we could eat a good steak on the stone and he recommended this place. We ate Fillet of beef with potatoes and peppers, as well as a tossed salad. So delicious! And that feast! It Met our expectations, of course. A note, rather than the stone, they put it on an iron. But the essence so happy.
The Collegiate Restaurant (Hotel) (Santillana del Mar) offers a variety of cantabrian dishes. It is located on Suances road and has a rustic and elegant dining room where you can enjoy good regional food and a nice landscape in the heat of a fireplace made of rock. It's open every day of the week.
