It may not be the best pub in the world, as its website claims, but it sure is very nice and it has a great atmosphere, with a dark interior and booths dating back to the Victorian era. Renovated and restored several times from 1885 onwards, it's a great example of a Victorian bar with beautiful wooden interiors made by Italian craftsmen. It has been used as a set in many movies.
An incredibly interesting pub. I remember being in it, at the front, and listening to music that seemed "live". It turns out it was live because in the back every night there are bands playing who know how to play everything. They entertained the audience, who between pints and songs and stayed, as was my case, well into the night. A note- there are people from 18 to 99 years old!
Founded in 1870, though recently renovated, this pub retains a traditional atmosphere with dark wood paneling, tiled floors, a bar with pillars, and ancient oil lamps. The booths are made with padded leather seats and there is a coal fireplace found in each room. The bar is separate from the restaurant. The bar features live music starting from 21:30 on Wednesdays and from 17-21 on Fridays and after 15 on Sundays.
This Irish pub in Belfast dates back to 1720, and was a meeting place for the United Irishmen. You'll find a great atmosphere here, with live Irish music every day. On July 14, they celebrate Bastille Day with red, white and blue decorations and of course, bread, wine and cheese!
