The charming town of Borce is one of the first towns you come to in the idyllic Vallée d'Aspe. The town, which has managed to preserve its medieval character, it perched atop a promontory overlooking the valley. Amid rustic mountain-style homes, you can find a small museum with all sorts of historical knick-knacks and an old hospital which currently serves as a resting point for pilgrims along the Way of St. James.
Borce also has an animal park perfect for bringing the kids. You can see deer, bear, and mountain goats, as well as barnyard animals like goats and donkeys. The park is open during weekend and school holidays from 2pm-6pm.
