John Muir was a pioneer and advocate for the wilderness areas of the United States. He promoted and lobbied for the preservation of Yosemite, Sequoia, Grand Canyon, and Mt. Rainier National Parks. This site is dedicated to his memory and work, and visitors can explore his homestead and understand a little more about this great man. We particularly enjoyed exploring the house, ringing the bell in the attic, and talking with the rangers who know so much about what his life was like on the farm. There is an outdoor picnic area with plenty of tables, so make sure to pack a lunch and enjoy the beautiful area!
