Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel and St. Florian the Martyr

The Catholic Church (in the district of Prague) is so high that it's visible from the other side of the river - the towers are 75 meters high! It originated in a "pique", construction was in response to the Russification that had taken place and to compete with the Orthodox church. The Cathedral of Santa Maria is also in Prague, quite near the Cathedral of St. Michael. During World War II the church was totally destroyed, the reconstruction was so thorough that manufactured bricks were used from the nineteenth century and it wasn't completed until 1970! After the 90s, the diocese of Prague was created and so this is cathedral and church.
