Woodlawn Cemetery

The Woodlawn Historic Cemetery can be found in the center of District 7 in Washington, DC. The Historic Woodlawn Cemetery is spread out over 22.5 acres and acts as the final resting place for more than 36,000 people. The Historic Woodlawn Cemetery was founded in 1895, and between the years of 1895-1898 there were mainly re-burials of more than 6,000 people in the Graceland Cemetery.
