Monument of the dead

It is around the old docks of Canning, facing the River Mersey, that the city of Liverpool has chosen to install its many memorials. In addition to the monument in honor of the inhabitants of the city lost during the two world wars, there is also a monument in honor of the Merchant Marines who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Battle of the Atlantic, as many of them hailed from this port city.
