This restaurant is on the seafront of Royan with a great atmosphere and Basque food. They have a buffet menu, but I do not recommend it because they are usually minimally processed and cooked "bulk" dishes, therefore it is better to try something off the regular menu. The tapas here are very good! In addition there is an atmosphere guaranteed to make friends! And if you pay cash they offer you cocktails.
Last Saturday I was at the ice cream shop called Lopez. The staff is friendly and the products are as its reputation: delicious. I got a coffee of Liège (tasty), and ice cream that was presented in a pretty way. We also tried the pancakes and the cocktail. Everything was very tasty. Ice creams are € 7 and is a bit expensive but worth it. Here you can find ice cream, candy, nougat, etc.. A delight! You can visit their website at the following link: http://confiserielopez.com/developpement/produits2.php
Le Bistrot des Arts is a restaurant located near Pier Royan. This is a great place to enjoy salads, cocktails, pastas and pizzas. I have eaten here twice and each time I had salads and asked for the Picasso or the Salvador Dalí. They were excellent! The salads are priced between € 5 and € 9.50 (quite affordable).
The Regent Ice cream is one of the main pubs in Royan. I've had 2 ice creams (tiramisu and coffee) which was only € 3. There are also pancakes, waffles, and hot and cold drinks as well. There is also a restaurant in front, with a menu starting at 13 € .
The Ice Garden is near the beach on the Boulevard de la République in Royan. It's open Monday to Sunday from 8 to 2 am. They coffee serve , beer, ice cream, bar environment .... I tried the ice cream a few times: I especially like the Nougatine. Food costs 6.50 € and there's a very good atmosphere. I also love the decor! Winery of beer, wine and cognac!
The Brasilia is along the river in Royan and serves pizzas, Mexican cheese, hot and cold sandwiches, kebabs, American food, chips, etc. What I liked most was the kebab and chips for 5 € (not bad but I've had better).
The Ptit Goulu is a place I like in Royan, located by the sea. It's a candy store where you can buy wonderful sweet treats. I love sweets and their prices are quite reasonable. It has a strange system whereby you take what you want and then go to the cash register to pay.
