This place is perhaps a bit hidden, but worth the search. It is always full to overflowing, the outdoor tables too. Perfect to have a cider at the bar or sit in the dining room for dinner. They often have promotions such as "Bottle of cider + dozen grilled shrimp" or "Cider and 2 Creole" for 5 €. Every two weeks, a new menu costing 38 € for two is created. This week it was a warm salad of caramelized apple, vidiago cheese and vinaigrette, grilled ratatouille, grilled Iberian pork with peppers, cake and rice pudding. Drinks are included. It was all delicious!
Vips is also in Asturias, inside the shopping and entertainment center Principality Park, right next to Gino's. You can enjoy the well known dishes from this restaurant chain such as their VIP club sandwich, the turkey burger, their various entrees and good desserts.
If you are looking for an elegant restaurant with linen tablecloths and beautiful works of art on the walls, this is not your place. If you are looking for quality and tasty food, do not hesitate and come in! Here you can enjoy Asturian dishes like tortos and frixuelos for dessert. I have never eaten anything here that I do not like. Hot starters like sausages, marinated in garlic, hake with clams and prawns with garlic, mince tortos. The food is plentiful and very well cooked. If you prefer a few servings, 3 servings each day are different at 5 € each. Really, if you are passing through Lugones, worth you to try.
Leaving Oviedo Gijon at the Santander exit, we stopped at the shopping area where Ikea is situated. Who said eating in a restaurant is expensive? Here in Ikea Food you can eat at very reasonable prices. They have a wide assortment of dishes. Children have two types of menus, depending on their appetite, 1 and 2 euros respectively, each including a drink and dessert. If you also have the store card (Ikea family) invite them to coffee. On the subject of drinks, you only pay a soda, because you want to repeat, that is also free. Enter the area of the hot dishes and boxes (because it is a self service), have salads area where combinations are free and the price only depends on the size of the container to take, regardless of the amount or selection chosen . The dining room is amplisimo, with the smallest area, and also have microwave ..... It's like eating at home.
This is a restaurant in Lugones, 2 km from Oviedo, where you can eat the best stew you can imagine. The specialty is the bean stew and for dessert, rice pudding, which seems to have been made by the angels, with a pot of coffee to finish. It is a lovely place, but be careful as they do not have any signs showing its location. The service is great and they look after you very well.
Granda is full of good restaurants where you will find The Llagar of Titi. This is a fine restaurant that offers a selected list of products especially Asturian cuisine. Prices are a bit more expensive than its closest competitors. Do not miss your fish and grilled meats are very rich. Ideal to go with family since they have a secluded garden with a small playground.
Llagar Juanin is a very welcoming place with excellent service. They have a good cider barrel and cheap tapas such as the tortilla sandwich for 1.20 €, ham for 7 € and tortilla for 7 €. If you go with children, they are given lollipops, picture books.
The restaurant Nozana is a typical Nozana Inn and Grill located in Viella, on the old road to Siero. It boasts an access ramp and toilets for people with disabilities and also provides special menus in Braille for the blind. The atmosphere is friendly and the attention very cordial.
Newly opened, this pizzeria is packed every weekend. It has a large variety of pizzas and my favorite, which I want to recommend to everyone is the dried meat and goat's cheese. They also serves meat dishes, salads and assorted pastas, such as the popular dishes like corn tortos eggs and hash.
The restaurant Las Encinas is part of the culinary tradition of Asturias. Specialities include meat dishes made from beef or pork, tripe, late-boot tongue, sweetbreads, governed meat, pork liver soup, liver and onions and cooked ham relleno. It is also well-known for the pastry specialties such as frixuelos, croutons, drunkards, fried milk and cooked chestnuts.
