The way of life in the lush Central American country of Costa Rica is best exemplified by the popular phrase 'Pura Vida!' It is easy to see why, as there is an abundance of natural wonders such as rainforests, beaches, volcanoes, rivers, and wildlife. On top of that, the wonderful people of Costa Rica go out of their way to share with you the best of what their country has to offer. This laid back country is a gem not to be missed.
The Arenal Volcano hot springs are literally in the volcano itself, and heat of the water comes from the lava. It's wonderful to be bathing in the waters as you look up and see the erupting volcano. You even have a restaurant there at which you can dine whilst staying in the water.
One of the falls on the foot of the Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna where you will find a lot to make excursions to the waterfall. I do recommend one that is riding , it lasts for 3 and a half hours by horse, You rest at the cataract and can throw yourself relaxed in the water . It will cost $ 45 per person
Exploring the La Fortuna we found this restaurant with a little research on the internet. We realized that many people speak highly of it, and the truth is that we did not leave disappointed. Excellent service, from the moment we entered the premises, to the presentation and taste of the dishes. So much so, that our drinks are prepared as "frozen" because the heat was strong! We recommend it, especially the Volcano Pizza.
This spa has a pool complex consisting of natural waters to thermal waters between 50-60°C, which by its high salt content especially sulfur have medicinal effects. It has two pools of natural spring water at room temperature and a pool complex and Jacuzzis with different temperatures ideal for medical therapies or simply for entertainment. They have cabins for people who want to stay overnight. Its prices are available to all families and to provide them with table ranches and benches with electric lighting and power outlets to plug in utensils for cooking or reheating food. Some of the ranches have grills.
There were two things I really loved about this awesome canyoning trip. The first is that it mixed the classic canyoning experience with rappelling and zip lines, some up to 70 meters high. It sets a new standard for vertigo! The second was the setting: it couldn't be more amazing. Pure, virgin jungle in one of the areas near the Arenal volcano. We had torrential rain on the final leg of the course, which made it all the more memorable, especially the last zip line. All in all, the tour is amazing. The team picks you up at the offices in La Fortuna and take you to the beginning of the journey (you can only do it through this company). There are restrooms at the start and end of the tour and the tour usually includes lunch.
