For those that would rather not walk

Manchester city center, the area is usually visited by tourists and is not very large. If you do not fancy walking or if the end of the day you want to go to the other end, you can always take one of the trams that connect the city. Individual tickets cost about 2 pounds per person in minutes you arrive at your destination. Picadilly Gardens and Market Street are perhaps the closest thing to an exchange point: The place where you can jump on whichever tram you like. For those unused to seeing trams in cities, it is always interesting to see them operating on the streets with vehicles and pedestrians.
