The Wapping Project (closed)

Be prepared: You'll be in awe when you enter the old fishing district of Wapping. The Cultural Centre and bar-restaurant is located in the former Wapping Hydroelectric Station (a historic building). You can imagine that the place has a very nice and charming atmosphere, but nothing else. The thing is, when they reconstructed it, they didn't remove the huge machines or the giant hooks hanging from the ceiling, or the turbines, engines, cranes and all the tools that they used when the Centre was up running. The result of the reconstruction is quite dramatic and amazing. The Wapping Project has a very trendy bar, a restaurant open at noon and at night, and constant art exhibits.
