Rivers in Valdivia
Calle Calle River
(28)
This is the river alongside beautiful Valdivia and which stands as one of the most areas in it, as it is where most of the artistic, cultural and sporting activities like summer carnivals or boating tournaments take place. It has one of the city's most important constructions, which is the Pedro de Valdivia Bridge which connects the city with the Isla Teja and coast. It was built between 1938 and 1953. Both the bridge and the Calle Calle are urban landmarks which are unmistakable because of its great tall arches that allow boats to pass under.
Beaches in Valdivia
Niebla
(16)
This beach seems like it's situated basically at the end of the world, with Spanish forts built in 1671, that surround it, giving it a sense of majesty and beauty. The horizon is lost in the vast Pacific Ocean and the deafening sound of the waves beckons you to get lost in its glory. 17 km from Valdivia Chile. Photo: Fog 7/16/10 7:15 p.m. ISO800 1/30 F4.5

Markets in Valdivia
Municipal Market
(11)
This port is located along the boats. We were there on a very bad day in terms of weather, with constant rain and wind. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time due to the colorful market along the Valdivia river. This market features everything from fresh fish boats, indigenous crafts that descend from the surrounding villages to sell fruit, Chilean food, etc. The strongest thing about it is the different positions on the ground, that are supported by riding the fence into the river. You can look out to see the sea lions, that wait there fore the remains of the fish to be thrown out. For them the sea is normal, but we flipamos course. That day we wanted to take a boat to go to Fort Niebla was on an island nearby, but all fishermen told us we were crazy, that nobody was going to cross over time that he did, and he had to leave the river and across a piece where the river was coupled with the sea. Eventually got up in a sort of boat-bus, for people living in Fog. What experience, the boat was going from side to side, the water we passed over the boat, and when we got to the pier over Fog, why we could not go down there was danger that the boat collided with the harbor wall, so they let us go elsewhere, and no prospect of finding ship Valdivia again. In the end, we ended up spending the night in pure fog. But that is a story I will have to save for another time...
